AN INSERT FOOT STORY
Euphemism, Invective, Political Correctness

I didn't realize it was such a hurtful term. I was young and ignorant. Still am. Quite. She was my mentor. A Jewish woman. She is a Jewish woman. Short of stature, but carries herself like a giant! Her name is Patricia, most call her Pat. I was devastated that I should hurt someone so dear to me. Someone was talking about a Seinfeld episode. There was mention of the character Elaine. "Oh, I don't like that woman who plays Elaine," I just had to interject. I had read an article in Reader's Digest about the woman that plays Elaine, she said she wasn't going to let her daughter watch Barney!

I inserted my foot, to her it felt more like a knife. I could tell by an immediate, immense sense of shock on her face just as I declared, "She's such a jap!"
